Marshall Goldsmith is an executive coach and author of What Got You Here Won't Get You There. An excellent article from the book is call "Practicing Feedforward." The article introduces the concept of feedforward instead of feedback. Three of the eleven reasons for trying feedforward include the following:
- We can change the future. We can’t change the past.
- It can be more productive to help people be right, than prove they were wrong.
- People do not take feedforward as personally as feedback.
