File Alert Monitor is a free Windows application that generates alerts about the creation, update, or deletion of files in specified folders. It will monitor specified directories on a local or networked PC and will display a pop-up alert or optionally play an audio alert whenever action is taken on files in the specified folders.
You can specify which actions (creation, update, or deletion) are to be monitored. You can also specify which file types are to be monitored. Below is an example of a popup alert.
