When you take a screenshot, the image is at 72 dpi. This if fine for PowerPoint or online viewing. But if you want to print the image in a magazine or book, you'll need to convert it to a higher resolution so it doesn't appear fuzzy. Here's how you do it, courtesy of TurboPhoto.
1) Using Photoshop, go to Image > Mode and change the mode to Indexed Color....
2) Now go to Image > Image Size... and change the resolution to a number divisible by 72. In this example, we'll use 288 since it's the closest to 300 dpi. If you don't use a number divisible by 72, you'll slightly skew the image.
3) Go back to Image > Mode and change the mode to CMYK Color.
4) Now save the image in TIF format, which you can import into your layout program such as Adobe InDesign.
